For those of you that don't know, the wind has been blowing 20mph for the last four days with gusts up to 30. Luckily it's been a NE wind giving my clients many opportunities to catch fish. This is when I'm happy to run a big roomy 22' modified tunnel hull. Bait has been easy to get. With the hard blow I have been visiting areas I normally hit later in the summer. I'm pleased to say we have a lot of sharks in the bay already. We have jumped several spinner sharks (big black tips) the last few days. Hopefully one of my clients will step up to the challenge and get one to the boat. Maybe tomorrow. Along with the spinners we have been locating some good numbers and sizes of flounder. Hitting some of the drops normally holding flounder in the fall we have been boating some nice fish. Along the ledges there are big spanish macks and larger than normal bluefish. We had a boxfull this morning with Stephen and Phil from Nashville, here are some of the highlights: {%image_id=9786%} {%image_id=9787%} {%image_id=9788%} Maybe you will get to do more than watch that hundred pound spinner shark jump next time you fish with me, Stephen.
