The summer is starting to wind down …but the fishing is taking off! Bait is everywhere out in the Gulf. Which in turn has lured in all the coastal pelagic species. King Mackerel are almost a guarantee especially on the late afternoon trips. We are catching a good amount of Mahi, several gaffers the last few days several Sailfish have caught and seen free jumping the last week. If you just want to run and gun with light tackle spinning gear the Bonito are making whitewater up and down the beach. You can catch them until your arms hurt. {%image_id=55279%}{%image_id=55281%}{%image_id=55287%} {%image_id=55280%}{%image_id=55282%}{%image_id=55286%}{%image_id=55285%}{%image_id=55284%}{%image_id=55283%} On the reef fishing I cannot remember the Amberjacks being any bigger or tougher than in recent weeks. We have landed several 38" fish. On the weekends, we are catching all the Red Snapper we need. The Vermillion and White Snapper fishing is about as good as it gets as well. Capt. Todd Jones
