Nick and Haley Quincey had a great day of fishing, Panama City and JP style. We started out the day chunking topwater at tailing reds. I threw the cast net picking up some greenies to hit some West Bay trout spots. One paid off with some nice fish. {%image_id=10504%} We headed to the ly hole picking up some bait for spanish. We were run off spanish hole number one by a couple of dolphins that really need a lesson in fishing etiquettee. We ran to another spot where we could only manage a bunch of big ladyfish and one nice flounder. {%image_id=10506%} We headed back to spanish hole number one finding that Mr. Dolphin had taken up residence around another guide boat. That was our chance, with Haley landing two big spanish, one of which could be the biggest of the year, just shy of 27" at the fork. Haley got the ax handles with Nick getting nothing more than a couple of hatchet handles. We caught a lot of fish. {%image_id=10505%} Nick caught the N. Florida slam which is a flounder, red and trout. He also got my slam which is redfish, trout, spanish and blue, known as the "quad-fecta". {%image_id=10507%} Haley caught a lot of fish including this nice black snapper. Since she was such a great sport I think we will give her an honorary N. Florida slam substituting a black snap for a red.
