Panama City Beach Cobia Fishing.

{%image_id=14932%}WOW! We started out the moring jigging for some pompano with no success...until my client hooks a cobia. That's right, on an ultralight and a pompano jig! Twenty minutes later the fish was in the box! The sun was about right after that so we went looking for cobia. Came up on a 7 pack of fish. Hooked 3 lost 1 and released another. While fighting those fish I saw another five pack way inside of us. Moved in on those fish jacked up two, released one. The fish were popping like corn everywhere! Everyboat I saw was sideways. We had double and triple hook ups on every pod. One time we were casting on a 6 pack and had a separate 8 pack way on the other side of us. Do you know how hard it is to release a 40lb fish and get your jig back at the same time. My fingers are a little tender. The daily total was 10 for 14 on hook ups alone. I really don't know how many fish we saw...We'll just say it was A LOT!!!
