When James Ford said he wanted to Tarpon fish today I was hesitant because of the reports I have been getting from my guide buddies. As they had told me the night before... it was slow. We only saw about 12 fish for the first two hours and never really got a good shot on any of them. As the tide fell we started to see a few more. Finally a pair 60 pounders swam pefectly infront of us and we hooked up. 40 mins. later I wired her up, guick picture, and revived her.{%image_id=16554%} We were back on the bouy ball for about 30 mins and a single fish came nice and slow down the side of the boat, hooked up again. This one was a little bigger and did 4 really nice jumps. We got her up and we guessed around 100 or more pounds.{%image_id=16555%} All day we saw only 35 fish and for what it was, We made a trip out of it. Tarpon fishing can be very boring and it takes the right kind of people to do it. Those willing to put the time in know how it goes.
