Well I know it has been awhile sense I last posted a report.....and Capt. Todd has been on me to get one out. Sorry but I have been away on travel and such.....but we have been doing some fishing. The flats are still producing allot of redfish and trout. I have prefered to run my trips in the morning with the low tides. This forces the reds out of the usual hiding places and makes them a little easier to spot on the open flats. You got to get shallow and quite but once you find them....a nice 1/8oz gold spoon or sinking minnow usually does the trick. Capt. Todd has been running his trips in the afternoon on a rising or full tide. He targets the reds and trout in some of the deeper pockets and cuts as they move back into their hiding places with the rising water. He has also found a good deal of luck fishing structure for all kinds of crittters. Sand trout, grouper and black bass to name a few. Instead for posting the usual redfish and trout pictures this week I wanted to post a picture of some of the Black Sea Bass He caught just the other day. {%image_id=24914%} As always....good luck on the water and in the woods.
