Panama City, Florida Back Water Fishing Report

The inshore fishing in the bay and on the flats has been spectacular. The redfish are back into their normal routine. Topwater plugs are working well for them early in the morning. Target the mouth of bayous and creeks. As the sun gets up we have been switching to a popping cork and a jig or suspending hard bait or a spoon. The trout bite is pretty solid too. If you are targeting reds with topwater plugs, chances are you are going to pick up trout as well. Pretty much any lure you would use for the reds will work for the trout too. The fish are everywhere. Just slow down, take a minute to read the water and look for the signs of fish moving just below the surface. Make long cast and of course be as quite as possible. As always good luck on the water and in the woods. {%image_id=33302%} Capt. Rob Womble & Capt. Todd Jones www.backbayadventures.com
