Smokin' that spanish in Panama City Florida

This could be the best spanish run in four or five years. They are thick and everywhere. I'm already seeing them as far up in the bay as the Hathaway Bridge. Most of the newer guides haven't been around long enough to remember the last time they have been that far this early. This is the first year we have had clean water during the start of the run with no freshwater run-off from the rain pushing them by the area. One of my buddies is reporting Deepwater Point at the state park slow but the rest of the bay is full of fish. We left early in the fog this morning finding our first school of fish just south of the St. Andrews Marina. At 0700 they were already beating the water. Casting bubble rigs and spoons has been productive. I see that bigger boats, along with some smaller, trolling spoons and tree's catching fish. There is no shortage and the action is steady. {%image_id=14647%} {%image_id=14648%}
