As each day passes the water issues seem to be clearing up. Today was the first day the spanish macks were thick on Deepwater Point. Trolling or casting all the way back to Major Wood and out to the Middle Grounds the spanish have finally got tired of hanging just outside the pass and started coming into the bay. Had a couple of young men from N. Georgia this morning that had never fished in saltwater until today. Mario and Gomez braved some heavy winds early in West Bay for some trout action. {%image_id=8927%} {%image_id=8928%} Later we went looking for spanish, something I have been doing a lot of lately. Picked up a few on the Middle Grounds then headed for Deepwater. As the cloud cover broke and the sun began to shine the spanish macks seemed to start coming into the bay. For the first time this year we saw bait being crushed and big schools of fish inside the bay. Over the next few weeks the bite should be good. {%image_id=8929%} {%image_id=8930%} Just as I have been saying in my previous reports fishing is getting better with each day of flushing with the bay. Mid week next week should show us a big change in the fishing.
