Still catching reds and trout...some bonus trout in N. Georgia

The redfish bite has been great all winter. When it's been super cold or rough I've been taking my charters to some little known spots up in the bay, catching some reds in these holes where they tend to lay up in the winter. Steve Blum and Alvin Peters had a good trip even though it blew like crazy last weekend, each boating several reds. Pictures to come.... On the days the weather will allow, we head to the pass and fish the big reds that run anywhere from 20 to 50 pounds. The trout bite in the bayous and creeks is on. Trout are legal to keep as of March 1st and you can look for that bite to be hot when the weather warms up later this weekend. Spent some time at a friends cabin in N. Georgia a week ago. Met Gary Demchek from Atlanta for a day of fishing on the Taccoa River. It was cold and just after a front. We managed to catch a few fish but mostly the trip was to scout it out for later this year and in the fall. The fly fishing on these rivers and creeks is wonderful with a lot of fish. I've been fishing in the area for close to forty years and can garauntee there is no one that can match my knowledge of the water and area around Panama City. That is why we have boated redfish every trip I have run this winter and that is why you will catch fish every time you hire me.
