{%image_id=4268%} Arron Reader and his father in law, Alton, came down Monday for a trout trip of a life time. It was cold, cloudy and blowing but the trout were hot and eager to eat. We caught close to 150 fish on DOA and popping corks with some nice keepers to boot. {%image_id=4270%} Later in the morning we went after spanish, catching a few of those, when Alton landed a big pompano on a spanish jig. No suprise, they usually shop up in that same bay spot every year. {%image_id=4269%} The trout bite has been good all week and should continue. Lot's of happy kids like Cam Mingo. {%image_id=4271%} The spanish bite is going strong with fish popping all over the bay. Max Warr put this great spanish in the boat throwing a bubble rig this morning. He and his dad caught a couple of dozen along with a bunch of blues on the fly and spinning gear. {%image_id=4272%} {%image_id=4267%} When fishing for spanish use jigs and Gotchas! while the fish are submerged. If they come up later on in the morning pull out the trusty bubble rig and get ready to have fun. See you on the water. Capt. James Pic
