When the cobia bite is slow you never pass up a school of jacks.

Fishing last week was strong some days and weak others. The spanish are still on the move with some nice schools of bluefish moving in with. We did some more redfish damage this week along with several flounder in a spot known for early spring flatties. The cobia run has been more like a crawl so when I spotted a big school of jacks moving down the beach Saturday morning we decided to have some fun with them. You can see some videos of what it's like when a school of 25lb jacks go after a Zara Super Spook on my face book page. Payton landed seven from 15lbs up to a little more than 30lbs. Leah went along and she got one that was about 20lbs. Could have caught them on the fly easily. We landed 8 lost 3. {%image_id=20360%} {%image_id=20361%} {%image_id=20359%} {%image_id=20358%} {%image_id=20357%} {%image_id=20356%} {%image_id=20355%}
