Inshore fishing heating up
Amelia Island, florida

As water temperatures settle into the mid 50's, winter fishing on Amelia Island is in full swing. On one of our most recent trips, Redfish at the upper end of the slot to slightly oversize were caught and released along with a dozen Trout, which were also released. Redfish and Spotted Sea Trout are feeding aggressively on the last of the outgoing through the first hour or two of incoming tide with the majority of our fish being caught on live shrimp or shrimp imitations. Look for a few days of stable weather between cold fronts to enhance the feeding frenzy that is happening here on a regular basis. Fish are schooled up, so move until you find them. The action will end as quickly as it starts, so running and gunning to stay with the schools makes sense. SAVE $ 50.00 !!! Book your trip with Dream On Charters before Jan. 31, 2012 and 3 people can fish for the price of 2 !!! Call for details. www.DreamOnCharters.com
