Anna maria fishing Summer species
Anna Maria, florida

After a few months of excellent permit fishing they continue to be a good target. The permit have moved to deeper areas from 60 -80 feet over wrecks. A summer staple is mangrove snapper. They are hitting shiners around every structure throughout the bay. Snook fishing in the passes has been excellent on the outgoing tides. Trout are hitting on the deeper flats in the early morning hours. Tarpon are still present and there numbers will be dwindling over the next few weeks. Plenty of shark action near the passes. Most are in the 20 -40 pound range.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Tom Chaya
