Fishing Report - Nov. 27, 2012 - Plenty of strong cool north winds kept most of our fishing in the bay and shallow gulf. Large trout have moved into shallow pockets in Sarasota Bay. Good numbers of trout over 22 inches were caught on live shiners and gulp jigs. Snook and reds were better on the deeper low tides. Flounder fishing was steady near structure in the bays. We have been averaging a half dozen flounder per trip with the biggest in the 20 inch range. Tripletail have been lurking on the crab traps in 30 -50 feet. On the offshore wrecks there has been nice kingfish in the 20 pound range. The chumlines have been producing mackerel, grouper, mangrove, snapper and amberjack according to Mike Greig.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Tom Chaya
