This time of year we usually get some cold fronts and the key to being successful is flexibility. If you find water 73 degrees or warmer you can target tarpon, bonefish, and permit. If it dips below that you are much better off looking for redfish, barracuda, shark and jacks. Big shrimp come to the surface on outgoing tides and the resident tarpon go bonkers. I like to get there during slack tide because the beginning of the tide is most productive.
