Bonefish and Permit!

On Friday bonefishing was productive for Chris King and friend Trey Smith from Austin, TX. They each landed bonefish and Trey nearly got a baby tarpon to the boat before it jumped and released itself. The team had several shots at bonefish and permit throughout the day. However, due to the tricky nature of sight fishing only two of the bones were landed. Saturday I was fishing with my friend Bob Reichert from Shallow Water Customs in Fort Lauderdale. We asked several bonefish and permit if the bait was properly presented and it was a lone permit at the end of the day that thought it was. With an exciting bite and a blazing run from the 23 lb permit, our persistence finally paid off.{%image_id=12209%}{%image_id=12210%}
