7-18-16 The plan for today's trip was to get on the water at daybreak, catch bait and pick up my customers at 8am. I would have three adults and a seven year old for a six-hour flats fishing trip.{%image_id=49433%} I had plenty of green backs by 0640 and was catching snapper by 0648. I picked up my customers at 8am and was off to the first spot. Wouldn't you believe it, their was someone sitting in it throwing a cast net. We move about 300 yr away and not much was happening. A few hits and misses. After about 15 minutes, the boat moved and I moved in and was catching trout. Not much size to them being about 15". This pattern was a grass flat.{%image_id=49434%} We moved to an open flat with grass under 6' of water. It was instant hook ups with trout to 20" long. They put one nice size black tip shark in the boat. We moved again to fish for mangrove snapper and they kept nine keepers.

Tight Lines,

Capt. Darel Carter
