8-6-16 I took my two grandsons out again today to enter more fish in the CCA tournament. As usual, I was throwing the cast net at sunrise. With the bait well full of lively green backs, we move a short distance and were on fish. The 7yr old got frustrated when he kept missing trout. I encouraged him to not get mad and just set the hook when they take it. As I had my back to him, I herd the scream of line being ripped out of the reel. The fish ran in a strait line for about 70yds and turned. He fought it around the boat and landed a new boat record. It was a 29" Spanish mackerel. No more frustration after that hook up. {%image_id=49540%}We caught trout after trout in-between them playing with the green backs. At on spot, they got out and cooled off in the water, while I caught a couple of Snook. They were tiered around noon and we called it a day.{%image_id=49541%}{%image_id=49542%}
