Good Catching Around the Winds.
Boca Grande, florida

Windy weather hampered our fishing last week. We got out trout fishing on Wednesday and got em a mess of trout for dinner. We had some south winds but it was warm. My guests were from Ohio and enjoyed the warm temps approaching the eighties. I wanted to track down some pompano but the winds encouraged us to concentrate in sheltered waters. Otherwise the winds and conditions have been challenging. Fish are here but the winds kept us off the Gulf waters. King and Spanish Mackerel are here if the winds let you get at em. Some cobia and sharks are available if you're willing to put some time into looking for em. Tarpon are almost close enough to target and will be here anytime. Inside the snook are available but cooler temps have slowed down their appetites. Reds are not consistent but not bad. Trout are coming back and will continue to provide dinner if your hungry. We are thankful to have trout rebounding. Fishing is picking up as the weather improves it will heat up and the first ones to locate fish will enjoy the red hot fishing Boca Grande and Charlotte Harbor are famous for. Let's go Fishin' soon.
