Largest snook of the year.

All threw March and up to this point in April,I've been sighting some of the largest snook of the year. Sighting them, and getting them to eat a fly or soft jerk bait is a different story. These fish are in the 12 to 20 plus pound range in the Backcountry. Fly is def. the way to go,but if your not into fly fishing, a soft plastic jerk bait will also work pretty well as long as the fish are moving down the shore line or sitting on the drop off. The wind has somewhat put a damper on the bite with these fronts moving down, but don't give up, and work your bait all the way back to the boat cover ground and you will be rewarded if you keep it in the water and don't take your eye off of it because we've been getting large hits pretty far off the shoreline in blind casting. Tight lines, Capt Bert Barkus [email protected] www.ChokoloskeeIslandCharters.com
