July Fishing report – Fishing can be as hot as the weather! Inshore fishing this month can be good for anglers willing to go early to beat the heat. We have been catching trout, redfish, snook, jacks, ladyfish, mackerel, and lots of sharks. Shark fishing during the summer months can provided some fast and furious action with the toothy predators. Most of the sharks are in the 3-6′ range and provide awesome catch and release action! Scalloping Season has also began and for customers looking for a water activity during the summer Scalloping in the waters off beautiful Homosassa Crystal River Florida is the thing to do! Scalloping requires swimming and snorkeling and is easy for most ages to do. We scallop in shallow water in 3-6′ depths and typically do a Freshwater Spring visit on Full day Scalloping trips.
