Destin Inshore Fishing Report
Destin, florida

The redfish bite has been real consistent for the past few weeks. We are finding most of our fish in about 3-4 ft of water, mixed in with mullet. The bait of choice has been menhaden (pogies) but we're catching quite a few on weedless spoons and topwater lures as well. We've even gotten a few bulls to the boat in shallow water. {%image_id=16826%} {%image_id=16825%} {%image_id=16824%} {%image_id=16827%} We fished in the Emerald Coast Redfish Club's Destin tournament over the weekend. Ended up catching around 15 reds over 5 lbs and finishing 3rd overall. We even got this stud bull redfish toward the end of the tournament. It exploded on a Rapala Skitterwalk! {%image_id=16823%}
Tight Lines,
Capt. Blake Nelson
