Destin Inshore Fishing

Fishing is finally in full swing...baitfish are thick, mullet are jumping, and the redfish and trout are feeding! Nearly every trout that we have caught in the past week has been in the 3-5 lb range, only a handful are less than 3 lbs, and even those are pushing the 20" mark. We have been able to find a few large schools of redfish and they've bit every artificial bait we've thrown at them. We haven't had to resort to live bait for the past 5 outings. {%image_id=14902%} {%image_id=14901%} {%image_id=14899%} My brother and I hot a chance to get out on the water and had a blast catching 3-5 lb redfish on light tackle. We also got some nice 4-5 lb trout to the boat as well. {%image_id=14900%} {%image_id=14904%} My wife and I got out for a quick afternoon trip while our one yr old was taking a nap at Grannie's house. Within the first few casts we had a double hookup to two 4 pounders. Next cast by my wife was another 4 lb red... she was fishing like a pro!! {%image_id=14903%}
