kings have been chewing pretty good close to the beach this past week on all the inshore rocks and fads using live herring as the bait of choice most have been surface bites and an awesome bite it is when they jump out of the water with your hook in there face. The rig is 3 feet of 40 lb. wire and 2 no# 6 trebles a ha ha rig. space the 2 trebles about 5 to 6 inches apart cast it out and hold on mackerel typically do not play with there food.
