The strong winds made for some pretty tough fishing last week, but there were some to be caught. If you could manage to find some clear / clean water you had a chance at some sea trout and ladyfish feeding over the shallow grass flats. Shrimp under a popping cork seemed to work best. The sheepshead bite was pretty good fishing around structure with shrimp tipped jig heads. Fishing around the mangroves on high water provided some decent redfish action. Shrimp on ¼ oz jig heads was the ticket. Things should get back to normal as the winds are forecasted to lesson this coming week.
