Estero Bay Report

The fishing continues to be tough for anglers in and around Esteto Bay this past week. Most seem to be chasing tarpon off north Sanible island all the way to Bica Grande, drifting white baits or free lining crabs under floats. Those looking for tablefare the snapper are everywhere along the mangroves and oyster bars. Downsizing to 1/0 circle hooks with small pieces of shrimp will work fine. The bait along the beach is spotty at best, but if you can find it the snook are crazy along the floating docks and off the beaches near the passes. Free-lining baits in 3/0 circle hooks will work best.
