Estero Bay Report
Estero Bay, florida

March 24, 2017
The fishing in and around Estero Bay has been tough for most anglers, but those with patience have been able to find a bite and bring home some keepers. the seatrout bite is pretty good over the grass flats in 3-5 feet of water and shrimp under popping corks seems to be the ticket. There are also plenty of shepshead still around in along the oyster bars, docks, and mangrove islands. Shrimp tipped jig heads or #1 circle hooks will work best. The passes are producing good numbers of seatrout, pompano, spanish mackerel, and bonnet head sharks. Bouncing the bottom with 1/4 oz jig heads with shrimp or shrimp under popping corks will work fine.
