Estero Bay Report

The water temps are dropping throughout the bay and this combined with the winds have made it difficult for most to find and catch fish. The snapper and sheepshead bite are through the roof around oyster bars, dock pilings, and mangrove edges. Shrimp tipped jig heads will work best. Spotted seatrout are making their way to the deeper water near the passes and bouncing shrimp tipped jig heads along the bottom is the ticket. As the water warms they move to the nearby grass flats where shrimp under popping corks will result in some quality tablefare.
