Estero Bay Report

The water is heating up and so too are the fishing options. The backbay fishing is on for seatrout, snapper, sheepshead, and redfish. Shrimp under popping corks or on 1/0 circle hooks with #3 split shot will work best. Fish the mangrove edges, oyster bars, and docks for the best action. The grass flats near the passes are holding good numbers of quality seatrout. The passes are teaming with pompano, spanish mackerel, whiting, silver trout, and the occasional shark. Bottom bouncing jig heads with shrimp will work just fine.
