Estero Bay Report
Estero Bay, florida

April 19, 2018
The fishing has been tough for most anglers the past few weeks in and around Estero Bay. The seatrout bite has been best on the grass flats near the passes where there is good water exchange. Shrimp under a popping cork in 3-5 feet of water is your best bet. Anglers will also pick up whiting and ladyfish with this set-up. Your best opportunity for redfish is on higher water up against the mangroves and oyster bars. Shrimp tipped jig heads or shrimp under floats is the method. The passes are holding trout, spanish mackerel, ladyfish, and jacks. Shrimp under popping corks or bottom bouncing shrimp tipped jig heads will work fine.
