The fishing the past few weeks in and around Estero Bay has proved to be tough for most anglers. The bite is best early in the morning before the temps get too high. The early action has been around the oyster bars and nearby grass flats. Later in the day the bite shifts to the mangrove shorelines and floating docks as this provides cover from the afternoon heat. Shrimp tipped jig heads or cut pinfish will work best for redfish. The snook bite has been decent on jerk shads, white and rootbeer red color. The nearshore reefs are holding plenty of mackerel action. Jig heads tipped with shrimp or free lined shrimp on circle hooks will work fine.

Tight Lines,
