4/18/09 Florida Bay- Getting Shallow

Today we fished the shallow flats of Florida Bay. We fished artificial all day and had to deal with some crazy winds. The morning started a bit chilly with clear skies and low water(the windy weather all week has blown some water out front and east of flamingo). We came across some really nice redfish a few nice snook and some trout. The only problem was getting the artificial in the right place with the crazy winds blowing out a good cast. After a few missed fish we got a nice overslot redfish and trout that were layed up on the flats. All in all it was a great day in what I call paradise. Weather cooperating I will be back on the water this week, look forward to another report this coming week! {%image_id=9078%} {%image_id=9073%} {%image_id=9075%} {%image_id=9074%} {%image_id=9076%} TightKnots Capt.
