This last trip to Flamingo was quite interesting, to the fact that i could have put on snow shoes and walked across any of the bights! We tried running east to try to find more water but no luck and the wind blowing a constant 25 to 30 only made matters worse! We decided to put into the back and head into the mangrove shorlines of Hells Bay. There was not much water back there either, and it wasnt easy to find much protection with that strong east wind. We did find lots of Snook laid up in the deeper mangrove shorelines and when we got the fly in there they were all over it! {%image_id=9350%} It made the day kinda sorta tolerable. Olive colored chenille head minnows were the fly they seemed to like. None of them were monsters but fun on the fly none the less. Hopefully soon this wind will leave us alone and maybe soon a nice glass calm summer morning will be in the work in the near future, definetly a sight for sore eyes! Till then keep looking for that slick water.........Capt. Joe!
