Summer Approaching and Catching is Getting Better

I have been using Fishbites molded baits for redfish and trout on the flats of Flamingo with great results. In Florida Bay the mangrove snapper bite is also getting better as we have caught some "bycatch" in some of the large potholes in between redfish flats. On the deeper grassflats Bett's rattling corks have been really effective with a DOA bait floating beneath or a Bass Assassin swimbait. There are still some black drum and sheepshead available in deeper water but the plan is to sight fish as we have gotten further away from our winter fishery.
