I spent a few days this past week fishing out of Flamingo and out of Islamorada. There are still a few big tarpon hanging around even though we just had a front blow through this past weekend. The baby tarpon around Flamingo is still pretty good. The redfishing and snook fishing has been consistent up the coast towards the Shark River. One day, we bounced Gulp shrimp and caught a bunch of reds up a small creek deep in the Glades. {%image_id=35615%}{%image_id=35616%} I had the opportunity to fish the Backcountry Fly Tournament out of Islamorada. It's a fly only tourney, targeting redfish and snook. We struggled during the tourney to catch our limit, but while fishing for snook, we couldn't stay away from the baby tarpon. I guess that's not such a bad thing! I don't do a lot of shark fishing, but the last 2 days were a lot of fun watching John and Gary pull on some giant sharks. We also got into a bunch of snappers, a few nice Gag groupers, and bunch of really big Jacks. I love the fishing the Glades because you just don't know what your gonna run into. {%image_id=35621%}{%image_id=35620%}{%image_id=35619%}{%image_id=35618%}{%image_id=35617%} The sight fishing in the Glades should remain really good as we make our way into the fall and winter pattern. So give me a call or email and lets fish! Capt. Jason Sullivan www.RisingTideCharters.com (954)864-0592
