The blackfin tunas have been around finally in good numbers off Broward. Our charters have been averaging 2 fish per halfday. They have been eating off the kite and flatlines and have been active throughout the day. When the bluewater pushes in the dolphin have been with it. Most of the dolphin that we have caught in the past week have been in the 5-10lb range though we did have one day where we pushed farther offshore and had 5 fish from 15-25lbs. Kingfish have not been as big in the past week on our Ft. Lauderdale charter. Most fish have been in the 10-15lb range, though there still are a few in the 30-50lb. range being caught. The bonitas have been thick and at times eat everything thrown in the water. Though they lack taste they make up for it in fight and are great sport on light tackle. Swordfish remain consistent. We fished one day last week and caught a 60lb. fish as well as pulled off several other bigger fish. Just how it goes with swordfish, somedays they just don't stay hooked. We have been doing some two day trips to the bahamas to catch yellowfin tunas and the bite has been great. Most days we are getting close to a limit on tunas from 30-65lbs. The fish are in the NW channel and are being found under birds. Our best fishing has been on the chunk and the fish have been staying around once you get them to feed. If you want to try this give me a call and we can discuss price. www.conchedoutsportfishing.com
