Children's fishing trip off Ft. Lauderdale

{%image_id=36779%}We had Mike and his family aboard the Marlin My Darlin for a half day afternoon charter. Mike is a regular with us here @ All- Inclusive Sportfishing and he and the boys are always a lot of fun. Mike kicks back and turns the boys loose. It's all about the kids. We got off the dock at 12;45 and headed out the waterway with mostly sunny skies. An approaching cold front had the winds blowing out of the south @ a steady 15 knots with stronger gusts but the seas only running 2 to 3 feet. That is a lot of wind but with a good north current running and that wind blowing to the North on that Southerly flow it held the ocean conditions down. We poked offshore offshore and slightly south of the inlet about ¾ of a mile not because of the seas but because of the spray from that wind ( the one that seems to be a fixture now as you have probably read in our previous reports). That current was a blessing today for the wind conditions and we set out our kites in a pleasant and comfortable sea. We chose the heaviest of our kites due to the gusts but the children were scrambling up and down the ladder from the bridge to the cockpit all afternoon easily and safely. Usually when those heavy wind kites go out it is a very different sea. Pictured are Duke and Kevin. Shorts as you see. We are so fortunate here
