August 5, 2013 The Lady Pamela II had some good fishing today with some vermilion snappers caught off the bottom, and some kingfish and bonitos landed on the troll. The big catch of the day though was a huge lemon shark. This is the second lemon shark we've caught this week, which is relatively rare, as they are mostly caught over in the Bahamas. They are called lemon sharks because of their skin is yellowish in color. {%image_id=34656%} August 6, 2013 Captain Joe ran the Lady Pamela II today and caught a nice 30 lb cobia while on the troll. The crew was using planers and seawitch feathers trolled about 60 feet beneath the surface. The same tackle also yielded some nice king mackerel and bonitos. Trolling this kind of tackle puts baits behind the boat a little bit deeper in the water column where the water is cooler. Fish tend to move into this deeper water during the hot days in August. {%image_id=34652%} As you all know Shark Week is on TV this week. Why not come fish with us and catch a real sea monster for yourself? It sure would make a highlight to your vacation! Tight Lines, Capt.
