{%image_id=43392%}We're feeling the heat, upper 80s again, but the south east wind is cooling it down a bit on our fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale. If we didn't have a breeze it would be warm to almost anyone as we haven't had a lot of time to adjust just yet to the brighter sun. Seas 2 to 3 feet day after day and an occasional shower to help that SE breeze take the edge off. The fishing has been OK with good numbers of schoolie sized Kingfish on the reefs on many days. Tim who fished with Lowell and us with a nice King. Roxanne who fished with her Dad holding a whopper example of a large Golden Tile. Some live bait helps for the larger Kings. There have been some Dolphin off the reef and not too far offshore. A few sailfish this week with most all of that being in water less than 200 feet. These fish are full of fight in May, with most being of full size as well. Snappers and Tilefish are a good bet. Our best depth for the Goldens has been around 600 to 650 feet. Captain Kopper and 1st mate Russ had a bottom trip yesterday and did very well on Tiles, Vermillion and Lane Snappers, and a nice 10# Mutton. Six or seven Kings as well. Strong Wahoo fishing along the reefline from several days back has backed way off with only an occasional fish along the reefs, more but smaller ones offshore as expected. Swordfish are a good bet as well and this time of year there is a good chance of encountering some Dorado either on the way out there or on the way back to shore. Tight lines and good fishing to you, Rick, Chris and TK
