Fort Lauderdale Fishing for Kids

With Christmas break here and the kids out of school our books have been filling quickly with anxious little fisher people. The fish are here to cooperate as well. We have fish made to order right now with spanish mackeral and bluefish just out side the inlet which we catch on the way out to the third reef and dropoff where we begin to target bigger species but still just right for kids. King mackeral are a sure bet and run any where from 5-15 pounds although the occasional "smoker" of 20# or more will jump on there as well. There have been a few bonitas around and some nice mahi mahi as well. Now, just because sailfish are big doesn't mean that kids can't catch them. In fact, they catch them all the time here on the Local Knowledge 954 522 4773. We help them, you help 'em everyone helps, but most want to do it on there own. Dad Tip! just because you've waited your whole life to catch a saifish don't be upset when your son or daughter does! Kidding but I've seen it. We will lead the fish next to the boat let you guy's get some great pics and let them go. Nobody saved any buffalo for me but I'm going to save the sailfish for your kid's kids. Check us and me out Capt. Mike at www.fishlocalknowledge.com or call me direct at 954 522 4773.
