SAilfishing continues to be red hot off of our beautiful Fort Lauderdale coast. Here on the Local Knowledge 954 522 4773, we have been producing 1-5 bites in a half day trip. Our best day last week was 3 for 5 Not Bad. A special trip that stands out was with Billy from Mass. Billy lost his wife 2 years ago, had a stroke the following year and 2 hip replacements. Billy showed up and said all he wanted to do was catch a sailfish. So off we went. We popped the kites with live goggle eyes in 120 feet of water on a nice blue green edge and it was not long before the first sailfish showed up. We jumped that one off pretty quick and set back up. It took some time before we saw our next fish. Well, actually I don't know how many were there but there was a lot of them. We ended up hooking 2 out of 5. So Billy had some work ahead of him. Both fish cooperated and Billy whipped the first one in about 20 minutes and then went to work on the second which had a ton of line out. Billy managed that one in about another 20 minutes (not bad for someone who is 74 years young)! Great job Billy see you soon.
