Blackfin Tunas & Kingfish The Pompano Rodeo was fun to fish and there was a lot of fish caught. I can’t tell you the number of King Mackerel we caught and threw back because they were under 15 lbs. (All the fish eligible had to be over 15 lbs. Blackfin Tunas, Cobia, Dolphin and King Mackerel) In the tournament we caught 3 Kings over 20 lbs. We lost one King that we thought was over 40 lbs. .1 Tuna, 28 lbs. One Sailfish released. We had a great time, but finished just out of the money. Right after the tournament we found some Cobias. We caught 3 out of the bunch. One was over 50 lbs and the others were over 20 lbs each. Richard and Michael Gregorio each caught Hammerhead Sharks on Saturday. Amberjacks and Barracudas have been biting over the wrecks. This time of year we should be catching Dolphin (Mahi-mahi). They are being very hard to find. Any day they should showing up. Catch-em-up, Captain Kunta
