Mahi-mahi and Sharks! The consistent East winds have blown in a lot of Mahi-mahi (Dolphin fish). We have had some fish over 20 lbs. and plenty of gaffers. Some schoolie sized fish are around too. Most of the fish have been in 300 to 500 feet of water and we have been catching them trolling Ballyhoo. Live baiting for Sailfish has produced plenty of Mahi too. There are a few Sails around. We have even caught a few trolling! The Sharks are still biting real good. Hammerheads, Black-Tips and Bull Sharks. Most of the fish are eating dead Kingfish on the bottom. King Mackerel have been biting on the reef and live-bait is the best bait for the bigger fish. We had a 47 lb. King Friday in 60’ of water. Lots of bait in there. The Mutton Snappers we spawning in Bimini and we even caught a few over here. We caught one Warsaw Grouper this weekend that weighed 50 lbs. So fishing is really good right now for all the different species. Catch-em-up, Captain Kunta
