The winds have calmed and the Swordfish are biting! We fished the past 5 out of six nights. We averaged 2 fish per night and 3 bites per night. The biggest fish was 247 lbs and we released fish up to 100 lbs. Most of the fish ate squid baits down 100'. We fished 13 miles off of Hollywood. I heard of plenty of other fish being caught by other boats. There were some large Dolphin (Mahi-mahi) and a few schoolies around, but once the wind quit blowing they became scarce. There are some reports that there are some fish 28 to 35 miles offshore. The King Mackerel have been biting to the North. Most of the fish are 10 to 20 lbs. These fish are eating the downrigger baits trolling. We have caught some Kings in the 30 lb range with live bait on the down rigger. The wrecks have been producing some Amberjacks, Mutton Snappers and a few Groupers. The Bull Sharks are still there eating our catch on the way up. Some Hammerhead Sharks are still around and even a Mako Shark was caught last week. The fishing is still great! Catch-em-up, Captain Kunta
