Good Fishing & Calm Waters! The seas have been very calm and a lot of Mahi-mahi (Dolphin fish) have been moving through. We have been catching a few decent sized fish along with lots of schoolie sized fish. We have been finding the fish under birds anywhere from 3 miles offshore to 25 miles offshore. The King Mackerel have been biting on the reefs. The bigger fish are still eating live bait and the small fish are eating bonito strips on the planer. There are even a few Wahoo around. One boat here, fish caught a Wahoo over 90 lbs. last week. The Swordfishing has been great! We have been getting quite a few bites a night and catching our share of them. The fish are eating squid anywhere from the surface down to 300’. We have been releasing the swordfish that are less than 60 lbs and keeping a few of the bigger fish that are over 100 lbs. The Sailfish are still around. You can get a bite with live bait from the kite when there is enough wind and you’ll even catch one trolling offshore this time of year. One nice Mako Shark was caught this week and a few Hammerheads. The Bonito’s have not shown up yet, but any day they should be here and they are a lot of fun to catch! Catch-em-up, Captain Kunta
