June 2005 Fishing for Mahi-mahi has been good. Schools of fish from3 to 7 lbs are being caught in 300 to 800’ of water. There have been some bigger fish any where from 12 to 25 miles offshore. The Sailfish and sharks are still around when we get enough wind to fly the kites with live bait. The King Mackerel are here one day and gone the next. Some Bonito are on the reefs and are showing up more and more each day. Snapper and grouper fishing around the wrecks and reef have been decent. We did catch and release a nice sized Goliath Grouper (ex-Jewfish) off of a wreck last week. With the afternoon thunderstorms, the fishing gets tough late in the day. Swordfishing at night has been decent, but we have to watch the weather. Let’s go fishing! Captain Kunta
