Swordfish and Mahi-mahi! We did not get to fish much this month. We had a 30 day charter that did not consist of any fishing. So I apologize for the lack of reports this past month We did sneak out for a few nights of Swordfishing. We caught one each night we went out. The smallest fish was 50 lbs and the largest was 150 lbs. For the past month, there have been huge weed patches anywhere from 1 mile off the beach out to 30 miles and further. There have been many Mahi-mahi (Dolphin fish) around these patches of weed. Many under the 20” minimum, but still fun to catch on light tackle. There have also been plenty of gaffers (fish over 8 lbs.). So it was a good start to out summer fishing. Trolling strips and spoons on the reef has produced quite a few King Mackerel and Bonitos. We will start fishing regular charters starting July 1st, so we will let you know how the fishing around the wrecks are. Catch-em-up, Captain Kunta
