The BIG sharks are here! All the boats in town have been catching a wide variety of species. These fish are very abundant in and around 300' of water. AJ's are on the wrecks in good numbers. Kingfish have been in the 100' range. Most of the kings are in the 10-30 lb. range. Live baiting has been the most productive but trolling strip baits is working as well. Look for dolphin scattered among the weedlines about 4-5 miles out. Make sure to have a bunch of light rods rigged up and ready to catch the schoolies! Sailfish have thinned out. There are a few out there, but fishing for them will be tough this time of year. I have received reports of a few smaller swordfish being caught at night on rod and reel. One boat out of Hillsboro Inlet caught 3 of them up to 120 lbs. in two nights of fishing.
