Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's been a while since an update. Summer will do that to you. The inshore action has stayed pretty much the same. Jacks, Barracuda and a few Tarpon and Snook bites after dark. Most of my action this time of year is taking place outside the inlet. Kingfish, Bonita and few Dolphin. We had a great Sailfish bite this morning in 160 feet of water. 4 fish on in 45 minutes and finally landing one after a tough battle on spinning tackle. The choppy seas and a late night having too much fun got the best of the anglers so we went back to the dock after an hour or so. This was a surprise treat for September. The fall bait run is just around the corner. Get ready for some fast action.
Tight Lines,
Capt. Andy Roydhouse
